Cytokinesis

Cytokinesis is a stage in the cell division process.

-         Cytokinesis is the separation of the cytoplasm and organelles are divided into roughly equal parts.

-         Cytokinesis occurs after mitosis.

-         In plant cells, a plate between the daughter cells develops into a new cell wall.

-         In animal cells, the cell membrane is pinched off at the centre.

-         Two new cell are formed.
